Summary: docked dialog tabs can corrupt display

When there are more dialogs docked in a pane that there is space to display, 
the display gets messed up, as shown in screenshots here:

switching to libgdl the docking system used by Anjuta would likely have the
side effect of fixing this and various other misbehaviour/expectation bugs.
 (Yeah I'm pushing libgdl, hope Inkscape will use it too and get more
docking apps behaving the same way.)
