Summary: crash while exploring the particles template

Initial Comment:
crash receipe:
open the file below or original template downloaded from official synfig 
website...
press "play" on canvas, while it runs unfold particles layer and switch off and 
then on again the translate layer -> crash
when you never press "play" nothing seems to happen only when you press "play", 
but even if you stop before you change the visibility at the layers panel.

crashes on linux ubuntu 9.10 64 german on a c2d laptop withe dev.snapshot 
0.62.00 and the 0.62.01 RC2.
