The best way to start collaborating is simple:
1) Fork Synfig repository from Github: https://github.com/synfig/synfig
2) Code there (bug fix or enhancement) some of the issues that we have
opened at the issue tracker:
http://www.synfig.org/issues/thebuggenie/synfig/issues/open
3) Send a pull request with a brief explanation of the work.
Issues list is long but there are some of them that might be easier for
newcomers.
