Hello Nathan! I am happy to hear about such interest! We don't plan to implement the network rendering features within Synfig, but as part of Morevna Project we have developed a special tool that we use for rendering our 2D and 3D animations. This tool is called RenderChan - http://morevnaproject.org/renderchan/ It supports Synfig, Blender and some other open-source tools. RenderChan also have integration with CGRU/Afanasy renderfarm manager, so you use it for network rendering of Synfig and Blender projects (even mixed ones). In 2014 we have already tested it with our own Amazon EC2 renderfarm and this worked very well. We have used Spot Request instances, which dramatically reduced the rendering costs. At the moment RenderChan is still in development, there are not much documentation about it, but it is already pretty much usable. Please let me know if you need assistance with its setup, I will be happy to help. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Synfig-user mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/synfig-user
