Okay, it's obvious the postfix restart config didn't work. Sorry I didn't
 announce before restarting it manually.

I'm not deeply familiar with administering Ubuntu and they are playing
games with sysvinit vs. sysctl that I don't understand.

I'm going to remove the configured restart which apparently didn't help
and just add "service postfix start" to /etc/cron.hourly.

Somebody more familiar with what Ubuntu is doing to manage system services
 can clean this up properly.

sa-vm is managed by Puppet, to change its configuration you need to open a PR on https://github.com/apache/infrastructure-p6 (you need to connect your Apache id to Github using Gitbox.a.o in order to get access to this repo). I've already tried to ensure that puppet keeps running on sa-vm but I had to revert the change because of some conflicting modules
https://github.com/apache/infrastructure-p6/commit/959fa576fb2fe11f4c734724ecc14d39b0c89ecd

It will be a while before I can pursue _that_...

I can retry to work on this, for the moment a cronjob should work (please document any change on https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/SPAMASSASSIN/InfraNotes2020

Underway, thanks for the reminder.

 Thanks
  Giovanni
