Hi,

I'm new to the list, having made the switch from Windoze to Macs with
a Performa 6116 running OS 7.5.1. I'm not stuck at 8.6 on a
1st-generation iMac, which is just fine with me, but that's another
story.

I'm thinking about giving a home to a Powerbook 140 with 8 MB RAM
that currently has 7.5.5. installed. I'd like to try 6.08L, and
wondered if anyone has any experience with that. The Apple TIL says
system 6 isn't supported on a 140, but that doesn't necessarily mean
it won't work, does it? Also, are there any pitfalls I need to watch
out for in downgrading?

Thanks in advance,

Nancy
