> May I ask what connection software and modem you use > with the SE? I'm using a Supra Express 14.4 modem with my SE, anything 9600 and higher is adequate for internet purposes (you can cheaply get an old modem off of eBay). I'm connecting to the internet via a community net in my area, using a great terminal program called "Microphone LT", although you can use other terminal programs (if you want I can email you a copy). You should check in your area, community net accounts are cheap as dirt and they allow you to easily access email and surf the web with a great text brower (Lynx) on your SE. However, there are other ways to get email. You actually *can* access the internet directly with your modem and use a program like Eudora to get your email. You may also, possibly, use Ethernet (high speed) as well. Where do you get the software that lets you do this stuff? I'm not quite sure but there are lots of great tutorials out there for connecting to the Internet with System 6, and if you post that question on this mailing list (and the Classic Posts one), most will be kind enough to answer. Hope that helped ;) -James -- System6 is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... 123Inkjets.com <http://lowendmac.com/ad/123inkjets.html> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> System6 info: <http://lowendmac.com/lists/system6.html> Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/system6%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Macintosh?
