Don't forget the bugaboo of SCSI termination. Someone gave me an Apple 20SC and I tried to hook it to a Plus, but the Plus didn't recognise it as the Plus doesn't supply power for termination. So I tried an active terminator. Still no go. I finally hooked up a second external device that was known to supply power, and everything worked fine. The Plus recognized both external devices.
