Ok, I disk copied the 6.0.8 images off jag's shareware disk onto the desktop of of my PPC-Quad, then mixed and matched until I had a pretty inclusive 800K boot disk for Monochrome Macs. I dragged the System onto the FixSix window, released it and it immediately returned to its folder. I tried to boot this Plus from the new disk and it couldn't find a System. I re-booted from a working disk and put the new disk in the external drive. The System Folder showed no icon but when I opened it and closed it again, the icon magically appeared. The next attempt to boot from the new disk was successful. It's a strange dance to have to go through but it seems to work. I am, however, considering resurrecting my IIsi to make future disks from. Thanks again, Hardy Menagh +E-mailed silently from a beige Macintosh Plus.+ -- System6 is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... 123Inkjets.com <http://lowendmac.com/ad/123inkjets.html> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> System 6 Heaven <http://www.euronet.nl/users/mvdk/system_6_heaven.html> System6 info: <http://lowendmac.com/lists/system6.html> Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/system6%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
