Just because I'm tired of G4s, iMacs, and OS X at work, I tried this. I used AppleShare File Server 2.0.1 and Sleeper 1.02 on my SE, and connceted my SE/30 to it. Sleeper reported it was not installed at boot, but it worked. It spun down the hard drive after I connected and accessed Hypercard, and spun the drive back up with no problems when I started moving around in Hypercard.
Sleeper is available from Marten's site: <http://www.euronet.nl/users/mvdk/utilities.html>. AppleShare File Server is available at Ruud Dingemans' site: <http://home.wanadoo.nl/ruud.dingemans/html/system6.html>, or the text version: <http://home.wanadoo.nl/ruud.dingemans/html/txt_sys6.html>. I know you were asking for something similar to Sleeper, but it was the only thing that came to mind. ign >I currently have a Plus networked to a Mac-Classic-file-server in my >basement.
