FWIW, I'm using MacWWW with NO PROBLEMS AT ALL (better than Eudora 1.3.1 lately). It's very stable! Great for spending an hour at LEM catching up on articles, unmolested by ads.
How'd I do it? I don't know exactly. I'm using a Plus with a Radius 16 MHz accelerator. MacWWW DID NOT work prior to the upgrade. It may be the small (32K) fast RAM cache on the card but that's just a guess. I don't think the FPU has anything to do with it. I don't open more than 3 or 4 pages at a time to conserve memory. Closing them or quitting the program is no problem in fact, it has yet to crash on me. I am using 6.0.8,the apps on Jeff's E-mailing Plus page and Fetch 2.1.2. for downloading. The modem is a GV Teleport Gold. The upgrade is "Radius Accelerator 16" for Macintosh Plus. I have two of them. An SE version was also made. The most recent one turned up on eBay with a Plus MoBo and was won for $1. Samba lives! If you don't believe it, that's ok. My ISP doesn't either.
