Hello Jeff,

Software written in assembly language usually isn't compatible with any
other operating system or hardware.  This is because assembly language is
not one particular language, but a description of a class of languages.
These languages are closely tied to the processor, that is to say the
680x0 in the case of System 6 or the iAPx86 in the case of menuetOS, and
the operating system (MS-DOS and UNIX provide services, such as displaying
text on the screen, in a very different fashion).
