Good point. It might make sense to add a default tmpwatch file to systemd then which is run via a .time unit and on boot. >From a first closer look tmpwatch looks pretty good, and the code is nice, so I guess there's really no point in reimplementing it. Hence I'd be happy to merge a .service + .time unit for it.
