Adding a new switch for this sounds overly complicated. We should really ignore this error in any case, and just print a debug level message about this case, which people can see if they turn debug logging on. Now, as it turns out I actually commited such a change a week back with 8d8ce9e2cd066e90c17e2d1eb1882defabb1fa63 in order to fix fdobz 89885.
