Apparently the IAAF overturned Parrela's ban a few days ago after 'some
doubts about validity of the test' (paraphrasing here).
What an unbelievable day in Sydney yesterday! Great weather. World record
crowd (in terms of numbers and noise!) and some great performances. Though
it was amazing to be there, I'm kind of glad I'll be watching the rest of
the Games on TV.
Anyway - men's 800m heats are running now..

Sanderlai Parrela ran in todays 400m hts running 45.55 and qualifying for
the 2nd round. He tested positive for Nandrolone about two months ago. Why
is he competing? Does anyone know what happened here?
