I've been dissapointed with the French coverage so far. It seems that they
are
doing too much talking, and are much later than CBC in showing all the
events.
In past Olympics and WC I would watch the English channel and then switch to
French CBC when they went to commercial or went to another event, everytime
I change the channel this year they are talking or showing something that
CBC
showed 10-20 minutes ago.
I too howvever would rather watch the French channel barely understanding
the
words, than watch NBC. The coverage is so overedited, there is no
excitement
at all (even if I didn't already watch the event the day before on CBC). I
get so
annoyed watching Bob Costas give a calm synopsis of the events, that he has
likely considered for two hours after watching the events. I would much
rather
see the CBC anchor people's spontaneous responses to the action than the
pre-packeged crap that comes out of Costas mouth.
