    George Brown of L.A. Jordan HS jumped 25' 2.5" in 1949 to break Owens' 
HSR. I guess this was the shortest lasting of Owens' records. Since Brown's 
jump came in a dual meet vs. Huntington Park you might want to go with Monte 
Upshaw's 25' 3" at state in 1954 for Piedmont, CA
