I thought that this might be of interest. I was watching tv last night
and i saw a small piece about a swim club in australia(young kids) that
use a unique training method. In an effort to make the kids swim as
fast as possible, the kids dive in and start swimming to the other end.
They have a 3 second head start before the coach throws a small
alligator in the pool. the kids are in no danger of being eaten, but
they could get bitten. So the kids swim as fast as possible and crawl
out before they are "caught". To date nobody has been bitten and the
times have come way down.
