In the '76 race Hulst and Hunt went 1-2 and the fifth finisher was someone
folks might have heard of... Alberto Salazar.

Kinda helped the US cause that in those days there were no Kenyans,
Ethiopians, Moroccans and South Africans around.

Subject: t-and-f: XC Trivia

The IAAF first staged a World Junior Championships in XC back in 1973. That
first year, the winner was Jim Brown of Scotland (who)? and the team winner
was Spain.

The next four years, the team winner was the US (really!).

For $64,000, name those winners!

I'm sure everyone remembers Californians Rich Kimball, Bob Thomas, Eric
Hulst and Thom Hunt!

No American (individual or team) has won since.
