Americans familiarity with the metric system is inconsequential.
Every discipline in life comes with its own nuances, track is no different.
There are very little problems when it comes to the OG, there should be
little problem elsewhere.
It is time. I am not concerned with changing the way all of USA measures
things, I am talking about presenting the sport as the sport that it is.
From broadcasting to measuring, to coverage people in the West are steadfast
to their ways, but want change for the better. We listened to Dwight tell us
why track could not be broadcast the same as it is in Europe, now I am
reading about why we cannot tell the US fan what Stacy's wr is in metric
terms. All the while confusing the public ever more.
Let track be what is, as it evolves. The road to improvement is change.
Even if you want to hold on to what you have you have to change with the
times, otherwise you are left behind and become outdated.
