...who is this "prince" guy... is he like a Mike Fox, the former  mythical
distance running figmentation of 67,000 posts ago, or, is this a legitimate
athlete spokesperson with a chip on his shoulder (or possibly
elsewhere)...re: sponsorship of athletes by a footwear company is concerned,
know that the rules have changed very little...budgets are all that has
changed...it always has been and always will be about visibility...either
local or bigger picture, with dollars spent adjusted
accordingly...re:medals, that is typically an athlete's bonus $$$
opportunity within a contract...the bottom line when determining who a
footwear company should spend cash dolars on amounts to who can make an
impact (i.e help a  company at retail) within the above prescribed context.

Mike (used to be Reebok  Marketing Dept. running/ track & field  promotions
guy with mega dollars to spend on athlete/event promotions  when Cap was
still an assistant at KU...and could probably write a book on the
