35.28 reported on UK athletics site was actually a difference between a
1200m split for the leader (Whiteman) and winner's finishing time. So the
actual split for Lassiter should be even faster, depending on how far off
he was at 1200m mark. In any case, 35.28 is 47.04 per 400 pace, nice to see
Lassiter (and Downin who was .28 back) to be able to kick like that off of a
slow pace. They both outkicked John Mayock, brittish miler who has run 3:31
for 1500m and who trained with ElGuerroj this winter.
