Mike,

Cummings went to Ernest Righetti HS in Santa Maria, CA. He was
teammates of Louie Quintana Senior who's son graced the cover of T&F
News a few year back. You would have thought they would easily win
their league with that 1-2 punch, but they had to go against the
legendary team from Lompoc that included Terry Williams, Shankle,
Gilmore, et al. and got hammered. Another Olympian who was born in
Santa Maria, but went to HS in Camarillo was Marla Runyan. Finally, the
great Sydney Marie's wife was originally from Santa Maria.
