Don't try to sell that "helping the relay meets" story
to the folks at Penn, Drake, Texas and Mount SAC...

Wouldn't you think that maybe the relays meet directors
-- who have thought long and hard about the likely
effects of NCAA regionals, and who are, from everyting
I've heard, strongly against NCAA regionals -- might
just know what they're talking about?

After all, there's no area of track and field in the
U.S. more successful than the relays taken as a group.
Why take a chance on screwing up the one thing that works
in American track and field?
