As a fan of American distance running, note in the 'take what you can get' file that the American men's team ran a very good race across the board. Four guys were under 1:04 (1:03:26 Morris, 1:03:42 Larson, 1:03:51 Jurcevich, & 1:03:57 Sell) and Campbell at 59th(1:05:24) was the highest 5th place runner save for the Japanese fellow (55th). Jurcevich ran a PR and Sell ran a HUGE PR.
It seems to me that the depth is improving, and I have always believed that the 'flyers' who are truly podium threats stem from that depth. Let's hope...
