Golf has been mentioned in this thread. Apparently, golf has been having some problems as well. There was an interesting piece on NPR a few months back explaining the problem with Tiger Woods' domination. Events in which he doesn't compete are garnering very poor ratings, and sponsors are dropping. Advertisers aren't interested. And those events in which he does compete are only attracting viewers during the final hour of the final day.
