Ok, this will obviously startsomething, but. . . running a low two hour
marathon is easier than simply completing the tour de france?  I don't think
so.  Now, I know that just completing the tour within the time limits is a
great accomplishment, but far lesser athletes than your typical 2:08
marathoner have done it.  No way is it harder.

This type of poll is of course bogus.  I can think of other things
peripheral to our sport alone that are harder than running a fast marathon,
including:
-a sub-2:40 50K racewalk
-a sub 6:20 100K on the road
-Raid Galoise
-Eco Challenge
etc, etc, etc

I'm not saying these things are more mpressive than running a fast marathon,
but they are most assuredly harder.
