SUBJECT: Media Teleconference

Stacy Dragila to appear on USATF teleconference

Olympic gold medalist and two-time world outdoor champion pole vaulter
Stacy Dragila will speak to the media via national teleconference on
Tuesday, February 25, 2003, at 1 p.m. Eastern Time. Dragila will discuss
her upcoming participation in the USA Indoor Track & Field
Championships, March 1-2 in Boston, Mass. Dragila will compete in the
Visa women's pole vault on Sunday, March 2.

The final stop on USA Track & Field's 2003 Indoor Golden Spike Tour, the
Indoor Championships will be broadcast LIVE on ESPN2 on Saturday, March
1 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Eastern Time. The top two finishers in each event
at the Indoor Championships will be selected for Team USA for the 2003
World Indoor Championships, March 14-16 in Birmingham, England.

Dragila has had a fantastic run on this year's Indoor Golden Spike Tour.
At the first stop, the adidas Boston Indoor Games on February 1, she
broke her own American record with a clearance of 4.71m/15-5.5. Just six
days later on the second GST stop, the Verizon Millrose Games in New
York on February 7, Dragila added one centimeter to her record with a
clearance of 4.72m/15-5.75. She got her third straight GST win February
15 at the Tyson Foods Invitational in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Indoors in 2003, Dragila has been in pursuit of regaining the world
indoor record. Svetlana Feofanova of Ukraine broke Dragila's then-record
of 4.70m/15-5 on February 2, 2002, during an indoor season in which
Dragila was nursing a foot injury. Since then Feofanova has raised the
record to 4.76/15-7.25. Dragila still owns the world outdoor record of
4.81m/15-9.25.

Healthy for the first time since 2001, Dragila is looking for higher
heights as the World Indoor Championships approach.
