No, he did not lead. He just managed to follow the others. Chirchir was leading with one lap to go. But then came the brilliant 5000 last lap with Australian Craig Mottram leading Haile. Haile only just managed to win, but Craig ran a superb 12.55.76, the 3rd fastest non-African in history. Erik
