I tried to send this out yesterday morning, but it may have been blocked since I wrote it in HTML.
I decided not to write this next comment when I wrote the original note, but since I am in a bad mood from limping home with a calf strain tonight, I will. I do not know the California-Riverside coach -- he may be a great guy trying to build a program -- but why would you bring 7 guys 2000 miles to score more than 2200 points in a non-championship cross country meet?! There are dozens and dozens of colleges in California. Didn't someone have a meet this past weekend? Listers, I am not sure how many NCAA cross country fans are left on the list, but as I have done in past years, I have combined the two men's Pre-NCAA races into a single set of results (with all of the obvious caveats of such an exercise) from the results at: http://www.indstate.edu/athletics/cross/championship/results/results.htm I am sending this as an HTML message to try to keep the columns intact. If I get a chance later, I'll try to do the same for the womens race.
