It was the second meeting in a row that Kostas Filippidis attempted for the
world juniors indoor record in the pole vault. And today his vaults at 5.67m
were much better than those on Sunday, but lost in details.

Later, Katerina Stefanidi, 15, attempted for the world youth indoor record,
at 4.35m. She didn't manage it and placed second with national juniors' and
youth records at 4.25m.

Maria Karastamati, the 20-year-old Greek sprinter, clocked 7.24 to dominate
easily the 60m dash race and verify her participation in the European
Championships.

In the other events, Serbia's Dragutin Tobic cleared 2.31m. and Stella
Pilatou improved her season's best to 6.62m to win the long jump. Good marks
for Tania Koleva - Stefanova who cleared 4.50m, Georgi Gouset the winner of
the shot put with 19.97m., Adelina Gavrila who jumped 14.33m in the triple
jump and Bogdan Tarus who jumped 8.03m participating out of competition in
the long jump.
