European cross-country champion Hayley Yelling won the English title
for the second time in three years in Birmingham on Saturday.

Yelling finished the 8km course in 28 minutes 21 seconds, half a
minute ahead of the runner-up, former European Junior champion
Charlotte Dale.

New British student champion Hattie Dean finished in third place in 29
minutes 11 seconds.

The men's title went to Glynn Tromans for the third time in five years.

He cruised home well clear of former UK 4km champion Rob Whalley with
Mark Miles taking the bronze medal.
