I loved the list as it was a few years ago. It was not that big, but the people on it seemed to all know each other through the years. And they were true fans of teh sport. The amount of information exchanged was extraordinary. When Maurice Green broke the World Record in the 100 in Greece, I found out about it on this list withing ten minutes. I hardly ever posted, but I avidily read whatever the knowledgable people on the List (Which was almost everyone) had to say. When Track and Field News started their own forum, the List lost a LOT of what is called "Insitutional Knowledge". There were active National Competitors on the list, along with respected coaches and the guys from Track and Field News.. The T&FN Board is OK I guess,(and I am registered on it), but I still like the List the way that it was in the old days. Count me among the people who really miss the list

There was a time when this list was the only game in town--now there are plenty of messageboards out there that have drawn away many of the folks (including me) that used to post regularly here. You should take a look at the messageboards at the following sites: trackandfieldnews.com (Roger--lots of good pole vault talk) dyestat.com not just for preps--they have college and elite messageboards letsrun.com--I'm not a fan, but they have had some good threads, most recently a tribute to Bob Kennedy -----Original Message----- From: Tom Derderian <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Cc: t-and-f@lists.uoregon.edu Sent: Wed, 25 Jan 2006 20:41:14 -0500 Subject: Re: t-and-f: Where did the list go?
