Kim, apparently Janis had asked Margaret, who is in charge of the sample exchange, to get in touch with you directly to answer your question; Janis was just asking you if you'd heard from Margaret.

A sample exchange is where each person in a group of weavers weaves enough of one pattern to divvy it up so that everyone in the group can have a sample of that pattern.  If there are ten people participating, then each person would end up with one piece of their own work plus one each for the other nine participants.

Why answer a question with a question? I read about it in the listserv. Can anyone answer my question?

Hi Kim,

Did you hear from Margaret about the exchange?

I also ama a lurker and a brand new card weaver with not much experience at all. What is a sample exchange, and what is it for?
