It looks like a threading issue. I know you said you double-checked, but it's confusing! Take a look at my basic TW info, at http://www.stringpage.com/tw/basictw.html and the ram's horn (kivrim) pattern linked from there and see if that helps. It looks like the colors are in the right places, but that the threading is reversed (S vs Z). What does the back of the band look like?
