"The Willful Pursuit of Complexity" contains Linda Malan's tutorial that will help to get you started. But I admit the patterns can get VERY complex. I have done the 3-strand braid pattern as vacant hole band (www.theloomybin.com/cw/braid.html), it requires a lot of patience.

Enjoy,
Gudrun

Excellent work, Di! I am very impressed.

Thanks! couldn 't have done it without you!
The 3-hole technique (aka vacant-hole technique) gives you a way
to create texture. If you are not tired of the 4-strand pattern
you can rewrite it for the vacant-hole technique :-) . Or maybe
you want to weave something else?

I *adore* your pattern! Will have to work with 3-hole for a bit to understand before I can try anything like re-drafting a pattern. Perhaps eventually. I don't see myself getting tired of your pattern at *all*. I *adore* braidwork.
