Hi Mircea .
I can think of two tricks to achieve what you are trying to do .
First would be running some javascript right before the AjaxDirectLink
submits and changing the value you need changed . This would involve
some hacking of the url rendered by tapestry which also contains the
value that will be sent .You will find more info on how to do this in
a recent mailing thread named : "how to run a js method before
AjaxDirectLink sends the request ?"
A simpler approach ( but a bit ... dirty ) could be using an AjaxForm
with an AjaxLinkSubmit and a Hidden value that can be changed with js
easily
