A beta-2 release sounds like a fine idea to me. We should say then that new major new features should be made to anything core and public facing until the next release. (unless they are non-documented features/bugfixes/etc..) .

As for the release naming conventions I don't have a problem with moving over to something more like beta 4.0.2 if you guys want. It seems that this is where tapestry is moving anyways.

P.S. It's good to see that tacos is being listed as one of the "good guys" :)

P.P.S. Feel free Andreas.

Hi all,
i've been really ill this past week & couldn't set my mind to work
on anything. I've only been surfing & reading Tacos+Tapestry's ML.

I came across this article today, it mentions Tacos:
http://www.musingsfrommars.org/2006/03/ajax-dhtml-library-scorecard.html

Anyway, I hope to be better this week  ( + drink even more orange juice),
fix a few tacos bugs i have in mind.
And if everyone agrees, perhaps we can go for the beta-2 release by Friday.
We've added lots of documentation + masked textfields + many many bug fixes +
improved performance - we need to have people use this new version real soon.

I also hate this alpha-1,...,etc,...,beta-1,... naming of our releases. It keeps
me from adding new stuff only because we're in the 'so-called' beta stage. I
think that for such an evolving project ( that depends on another equally
evolving project) this naming scheme is inappropriate. Don't you guys agree?

PS. Jesse, can I take over Bug48 ?  Also, can you somehow mark which of your
assigned bugs you want / wish resolved by beta-2, and which ones can wait
for a later version?
