i'm also having some bizzare experiences related to multiple request-responses.

somehow the feeling i got was that the @If and such other conditionals, cause multiple requests to be fired. i'm not able to pinpoint why this is going on ..
are there other AjaxLinks/AjaxSubmits in your page?
