I can't find anything wrong  + latest war works...

When Ajaxdirectlinks are clicked, we use js to append dojoRequest=true
(and others) in their href,
and do ajax on it. How did you see that dojoRequest=true wasn't appended?
Perhaps there's a js error (or old js used) somewhere before the ajax
request executes...
