I live in Nashville, TN, USA. Since this is a center for the music industry, many restaurants and pubs occasionally have live musicians. In my opinion, the distinction between a nightclub and a pub would not be whether or not it has live musicians (some of each have live musicians, some of each don't), but rather that a nightclub generally has space used for dancing, a pub generally doesn't.

However, I do agree that a music venue tag would be good, as there are a number of music venues for local bands which are suitable for minors but also not all pubs have live music.
