Does OSM want to be a directory ? A shop is a discrete entity - quite the consensual POI. A single tenant building ? Same. But what about a 50 levels high-rise building with 67 tenants ? Should they all appear on OSM ? In my opinion, no : the building should be tagged with its address and its building name, but the tenants belong to a third-party directory that may or may not position them on a map according to their address. Be careful what you wish for because you just might get it... So far the problem was soliciting contributions - soon it will be geospam. Damn - I just find that I am not the inventor of the word 'geospam' ! cc: talk@osm because I feel that this issue has implications beyond tagging. _______________________________________________ Tagging mailing list Tagging@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/tagging
