Dear all, Just over two weeks ago, I started voting on a proposal for gambling amenities: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Proposed_features/Gambling#Voting
The proposal has been accepted with 13 approving votes and 1 opposing vote. I would like to thank everyone who voted, and who contributed to the discussion. The next step will be to actually start using the new tags. Given that gambling amenities are currently not consistently tagged, I am not planning an automatic edit. I therefore propose that we manually correct the tags of the individual amenities where necessary, based on local knowledge. In particular, the following needs to be done: 1. Gambling amenities with slot machines and no table games should be tagged as leisure=adult_gaming_centre instead of amenity=casino. 2. Amusement arcades need to be tagged as leisure=amusement_arcade. 3. Bookmakers need to be tagged with shop=bookmaker. Or from a more tag-centered point of view: 1. Objects amenity=casino need to be re-tagged to leisure=adult_gaming_centre if they only have slot machines and no table games. 2. Objects leisure=amusement_arcade need to be re-tagged to leisure=adult_gaming_centre when only used for gambling. 3. For objects amenity=gambling we need to check if there is a more precise tag, like shop=bookmaker or leisure=adult_gaming_centre. 4. Objects leisure=video_arcade need to be mostly replaced by leisure=amusement_arcade. 5. Objects shop=betting need to be mostly replace by shop=bookmaker. 6. Objects shop=gambling need to be replaced by either shop=bookmaker or shop=adult_gaming_centre. I would be very grateful if you could check if the gambling amenities in your local area are tagged correctly.
