Graeme,

I am not sure about what bothers you precisely here, is it only the term
'vineyard'?
According to Wikipedia I find it well suited.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vineyard
> A vineyard /ˈvɪnjərd/ is a plantation of grape-bearing vines, grown
mainly for winemaking, but also raisins, table grapes and non-alcoholic
grape juice.
