For me, it's obvious that we should choose: * historic=palace for palaces * historic=manor for manors
Castles and palaces/ manors are different types of objects and it shouldn't be mixed as some subtypes of castle. Of coure there are examples "on the edge" but taking them as subtypes of castle it's not a solution.
