I don't see searches as relevant.  There are far more emojis than most
people
can remember.  Many emojis are indecipherable unless you're already familiar
with them.  So this is how the search would actually go...

Do a search to see if a Mount Everest emoji exists.  If it does, copy and
paste
it into the OSM search box.  It is far easier and quicker to just type
"mount
everest" into OSM than type "mount everest emoji" into google so you can
copy and paste the result, if there is one, into OSM.

There are few, if any, use cases where the cosmetic enhancement of the few
relevant emojis would make sense or improve the map in any meaningful way.

I remain firmly unconvinced.
