There are currently at least about 10k ways with barrier=hedge and a 
landuse=* or leisure=* tag - most of which are probably closed ways 
(though i have not checked).

And please keep in mind that - as i mentioned - barrier=hedge is not the 
dominant tag for mapping hedges with polygons in the first place - as i 
have shown with various links earlier.
