Hello, I would like to propose a new tagging scheme for airport communication frequencies. This proposal creates tags for radio communication frequencies at airports, which currently has no tagging standard in OpenStreetMap. Proposed tags:
* communication:ctaf:frequency — Common Traffic Advisory Frequency * communication:unicom:frequency — Airport services frequency * communication:tower:frequency — Control tower frequency * communication:ground:frequency — Ground control frequency * communication:atis:frequency — Automatic Terminal Information Service frequency Currently, the generic frequency key is unsuitable because it cannot distinguish between these different types of communication channels. This tagging scheme is globally applicable and would be valuable for flight planning applications, flight simulator software, and other aviation-related tools. Full proposal: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Proposal:Airport_communication_frequencies Please discuss this proposal on its talk page. Please, cross post this announcement on the community forum on my behalf by posting a message in: https://community.openstreetmap.org/c/general/tagging/70. Also add the tags "wiki-proposal" and "rfc". Best regards, Dylan Lloyd (FatalFit)
