Hi, Amar,

just put the files in the $TOMCAT_HOME/webapps directory and restart Tomcat.
The files will be extracted automatically. After that, You will find
subdirectories in $TOMCAT_HOME/webapps.

If You don't like this approach, try the Java jar utility. For example
"jar -tvf your_war_file.war" to list the content.

I have a book, lefthand from my keyboard. It is really great! It helped me a
lot by my first steps with Servlets and JSP. Try it. You will like it!

Core Servlets and Java Server Pages, Marty Hall, Prentice Hall, Sun
Microsystems Press
