Folks: A major United States national security initiative, tasked with inventing advanced strategies which "change the terrain" in order to permanently give defenders an advantage over attackers, has praised Tahoe-LAFS:
"Systems like Tahoe are making these methods immediately usable for securely and availably storing files at rest; we propose that the methods be further reviewed, written up, and strongly evangelized as best practices in both government and industry." —from Report on National Cyber Leap Year Summit 2009 Yeah!! It feels great to get some official recognition of what this little loosely-organized Free Software project is doing. I wrote up more context and comments and (of course) pleas for help on my blog: http://testgrid.allmydata.org:3567/uri/URI:DIR2-RO:j74uhg25nwdpjpacl6rkat2yhm:kav7ijeft5h7r7rxdp5bgtlt3viv32yabqajkrdykozia5544jqa/wiki.html (Which, of course, is a CloudApp served up from a Tahoe-LAFS grid. :-)) Regards, Zooko _______________________________________________ tahoe-dev mailing list [email protected] http://allmydata.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/tahoe-dev
